'Ode to Monet #3'
Oil & Palette Knife Technique on Canvas
'Ode to Monet 3' drifts into gentler waters; a softer, more luminous reflection in my ongoing tribute to Monet. Here, I wanted to capture that magical in-between moment where light seems to float, and colour refuses to stay still. The water becomes both mirror and mystery, alive with shifting hues and quiet movement.
Built up through many layered techniques, this oil painting glows from within, each stroke adding a whisper of depth. The final flicks of my palette knife suggest water lilies just catching the light — playful, fleeting, and entirely at ease on their shimmering stage.
It’s a piece about getting lost in reflection and remembering that sometimes stillness is just another form of motion.
